About Us

This organization has been created  to provide a safe place for those who struggle with sexual and gender identity in our small community. It will also provide as a source that in time will unite everyone in the community to erase hate in all ways and forms.

Don't HATE....Educate

GLBT QUOTATIONS

"The most violent element in society is ignorance."

Emma Goldman

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Dr. Seuss

"I desire a person, not a gender."

Matthew Ehrlich / Writer

"I still hear people say that I should not be talking about the rights of lesbian and gay people and I should stick to the issue of racial justice. But I hasten to remind them that Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.' I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream to make room at the table of brother- and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people."

Coretta Scott King

"Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Silence kills the soul; it diminishes its possibilities to rise and fly and explore. Silence withers what makes you human. The soul shrinks, until it’s nothing."

Marlon Riggs / Filmmaker

Our organization currently has a staff of two but hopefully will inspire others to help not only in sharing with their own ideas and experiences but come together with a passion and desire to pave the way for change.

Audrey Gomez

Audrey was born and raised in Safford Arizona of a christian pentecostal faith in May 1978. She is the oldest of 5 children and currently lives in the Safford area. A Safford High school graduate in 1996 Audrey moved to the Metro / Phoenix area working in many different customer service positions. In the year 2000 Audrey came out of the closet to her family and friends stating,  " There were and still are many challenges that I face and faced to this day." Faith and heritage were the two issues that seemed to be the most impacted with her decision.

Audrey shares the desire with those who rally to Stop HATE  and HATE Crimes within the community and this country. She would like to focus on the youth of the community educating on homophobia and sexual identity issues in our schools. She also is helping to educate the current Arizona issue PROP 102.

Christy Parks

Christy was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She moved to the Phoenix Area when she was 16. Through most of her adolescence and  teen life she lived a very unstable lifestyle. At 23, she came out to her family and decided it was time to settle down. "Coming out finally, was the hardest thing I ever did, I was surprised by how different my world became!"

Christy wants to share her story with others. She inspires to support others in their coming out. Christy wants to start activities with young adults, and have meet-ups with other LGBTQ memebers. "Its a long road ahead of us, No one wants to walk it alone."  She believes without the support of others, we wouldn't get anything accomplished!
